Satay Chicken Skewers
Chicken Satay Skewers
Serving: 4
Ingredients
Sauce
- 3 TBSP Soy Sauce
- 3 TBSP Crunchy Penut Butter
- 1 TBSP Spenda ( or other sweetener )
- 2 TSP White Vinegar
- 1 TSP Crushed Garlic ( be generous )
- 2 TBSP Sesame Oil
- 1/2 TSP Chinese Five Spice
- 2 TBSP Thickened Cream or Coconut Cream
- 1/2 to 1 Cup Water
- Plus extra Water to Thin Sauce as is will thicken a lot
Skewers
- 800g Diced Chicken
Instructions
- Thread Diced chicken onto Skewers
- Add Sauce ingredients in blender and Blend to combine into a paste
- Place Skewers into slow cooker
- Cover chicken with Sauce
- Cook on low 4 to 6 hours ( depending on cooker )
Notes
- Sauce will darken and thicken , I like to add water and baste the Skewers with a pastry brush .. how much water will depend on how thick you like the sauce.
- Serve with Rice
