6 medium Quinces (1.5 kg when cooked)

900gms castor sugar


1Wash quinces to get fur off, then cut and core cook quinces until soft.

2Blend quinces until smooth then put through a sieve.

3Place blended quinces and 900gms sugar in slow cooker.

4Cook for 3 hours high lid on

5Stir every 15 minutes scraping the sides of the slow cooker and to make sure no lumps.

6Place finished past in greased muffin trays leave until cooled then place in the fridge to set.

Made a larger volume over longer period of time in slow cooker but paste while tasting delicious and a beautiful colour of paste, it hasn’t set. I measured volume of whizzed cooked fruit to sugar .
Any advice plz r fran

Hi there, great recipe. Im just wondering if you could just put the individual paste’s in a ziplock back & freeze. Thanks in advance
