  1. I’ve also made this recipe, exactly as described, but adding 250g of chopped brown onion (also raw) and it was delicious as well.

  2. This would be the nicest pumpkin soup I have ever had …my hubby and son agree ….I didn’t use the sour cream though …we had it with crusty bread rolls ….the next day it was even better ….this will be a regular on our menu…..thank you to the creator

  3. I used this recipe but added bacon and one large onion then blended at the end it was awesome and have lots left over to freeze for cold nights and lunches thank you for this recipe it’s great

  4. This soup is fantastic, I made 1/3 of this recipe for the 1 litre pot in the kmart 3 station cooker and it filled it just right and was enough for 4 of us to have a small bowl before our mains. It will definitely be a regular at our house.

  5. I have made this for the first time but added an onion. But instead of using chicken stock I used vegetable stock (Campbell’s). It smells lovely, on a cold winters day.

  6. Superb recipe. Added 1 brown onion and some pepper. Also swapped the chicken stock for vegetable stock. Consistency was perfect. Highly recommended.

  7. This was perfect as I didn’t have any chicken stock I used a Cambells Thai soup base, added just enough bite to take it to the next level. I also omitted the sour cream. Was so good had to make a second batch for the boy’s at work after taste testing mine. 5 star’s.

  8. After making this awesome recipe added an onion but have to say think i will half curry powder next time my toddler won’t touch it think its a bit too much bite otherwise its great ?

  9. I didn’t have any sweet potato and used beef stock instead of chicken – it was super delicious with a little salt, black pepper & thickened cream stirred in when served. Making another batch tomorrow! Yum!!

  10. Yum!! I left out the curry powder as I just wanted plain pumpkin soup! Next time I’m going to add onion yum yum I served mine with cream, black pepper and chives on top

  11. This was beautiful! Made it without the curry powder and with a whole butternut and had enough for 4 big servings. Thanks!

  12. Overall nice soup but curry powder overtook the pumpkin flavour.
Next time I would reduce the amount of powder. I added 1 small diced onion didnt have sweet potato so added extra pumpkin about 200g .

Made this soup last night put parsnip in and halved the Curry after reading reviews absolutely yummy ?

  14. I’ve been making this every couple of days as my family and I love it. I add a chopped onion and add only 1 teaspoon of curry powder. When cooking is finished,I blend the soup in my blender. Excellent recipe.

  15. We love this soup and I have made it several times. I add an onion like others suggest and put in less curry powder to suit my kids tastes better.

  16. I don’t eat soup so can’t comment on the taste but I made this for my hubby and he really enjoyed it, and it was super easy for me to make. I froze it in portions for hubby’s lunch and he said it defrosted fine and was still really nice.

  17. I made this for family members freezer, so they had something easy to heat after hospital visits, & it was hit. I did reduce the curry as lot of people suggested.

I made this today only used 1tspn curry powder and added an onion as others suggested, it is delicious definitely 5 stars, will be making again.

  19. I have now made this several times following the recommendations of using 1/2 the amount of curry powder and with the addition of an onion, Hubby ALWAYS makes the comment of it’s ‘the best pumpkin soup’ he has ever had. It’s a winner.

  20. Had this for dinner tonight. Nothing short of AMAZING!! I only had beef stock on hand, so used that instead. This is definitely a new fave!!!

  21. Lovely! I too, added an onion and cut the curry powder down to 1 tsp. I also changed the chicken stock to vegetable stock to accommodate a vegetarian family member. Everyone loved it ?

  22. Made a double batch of pumpkin soup exactly as the recipe started as I love the curry flavour (I also added a bit of tumeric and a touch of chilli for the batch) and the flavours are wonderful. I was given an abundance of pumpkin (what else do you do??)
