Pulled Jackfruit

Savoury, simple vegan

  • Prep: 15 mins
  • Cook: 4 hrs
  • Yields: 8 serves


1kg piece of unripe Jackfruit, seeded and chopped

2 onions, diced

1 bottle Masterfoods smokey BBQ sauce


1Lightly fry onions and place in slowcooker.

2Add all other ingredients.

3Cook on high for 4 hours.

4Shred jackfruit.

5Serve on rolls with salad.

In Australia you can find tinned Jackfruit in the health food section of both Woolies and Coles for anyone wanting to know.

Try Asian markets – they always carry jackfruit in the US.

Hi Melissa can you tell me where you got the jackfruit from? im in melbourne and can only find it in tin form or either buying on line have been wanting to make this for months now lol
