Puff Pastry Meatloaf Braid

Ingredients
- 250 grams beef mince
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1tbsp cooked rice
- 1 tbsp chopped mushrooms
- 1 tbsp chopped spring onions
- 1 tbsp chopped bacon
- 1 tbsp grated carrot
- 1tbsp spinach I used frozen
- 1 tsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp garlic
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 egg whisked (use half but save the rest)
- 1 cup of water
- pre made frozen puff pastry (defrosted)
- You can adjust these amounts to suit your own taste or add other things
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl except the water, then shape into a loaf
- Wrap tightly in foil and put a couple of small holes in the bottom for the fat to drain out
- Place some egg rings or cookie cutters in the slow cooker with some strips of twisted foil and place your loaf on top,
- Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the slow cooker
- 2 hours on high then 4 on low
- Remove and unwrap, roll out puff pastry and place loaf onto it, I did a braid/plait type
- Brush with milk or the rest of the egg
- Cook in oven at 200 degrees C for about 30 mins or until golden brown xxx
