I have a .500 gram roast lamb, Could i do it the same, only 4 hours on low for tea tonight? Thank you Di
Without adding any water?
That’s correct Anna. By the end of cooking the meat will have released around an inch of liquids of it’s own and you don’t want it stewing in liquid 🙂
Hi, I only have a 1.2 kg pre-marinated roast will it shrink very much?
It will shrink during cooking yes but you can still do this recipe with the piece you have 🙂
Silly question, can you serve & ear the potato, onion & carrot it was cooked with? Just doesn’t mention this in the recipe?
You sure can Trish, though it is soft from cooking juices 🙂
I added potato, carrot and onion, I cut them small enough like I usually do for other 2kg of meat in there. I did aim for 7hrs but ended up pulling it out at 6.5hrs and it was PERFECT.
I had 1.1kg marinated Chuck beef roast from Woolies and omg delicious it actually needs more then 5 stars. I just added the roast straight in the slow cooker and cooked on low for around 7 hours nothing else added.
Total success with this one every time! Falls apart and delicious with the veggies soaking up the flavours!
WOW!!! This recipe is a keeper.
Moist, tender and flavoursome meat, that falls apart when taking it out of the slow cooker.
The veggies soaked up the flavours!
Love these one pot meals, so easy, going to try this with a lamb and veggies.
