Choc peppermint fudge - straight from your slow cooker!
milk chocolate 5-600g
1 tin condensed milk
Tsp vanilla essence
5 Peppermint crisps CRUSHED (your choice how many)
Peppermint essence ( to your liking)
1Place all ingredients in slow cooker. Besides the peppermint essences, & peppermint crisps. (Leave till last)
2Cook on LOW for 45mins OR until all smooth.
3Add 3 packets of CRUSHED peppermint crisp.
4Mix till its melts.
5Mix every 10-15 minutes, as you don't want to burn it :)
6Add in peppermint essences ( too your liking), mix all together.
7Let it cook for extra 5 minutes.
8Pour into lined tin.
9Add CRUSHED peppermint crisp on top.
10Fridge over night, and ENJOY.

Because extract is about twice as strong in flavour you may want to try altering by half

After advice with this recipe
I can only find peppermint extract I can’t find pepper mint essence anywhere in the shops near me, if I were to use peppermint extract hoe much would you suggest using ?
Help! Wanting to make this for Christmas 🎄

Susan on checking this for you I believe the chocolate content in this recipe is too low … it should be at least 500g (though I prefer 600g personally)
I’ve taken the liberty to edit this members recipe to reflect this
Yours is still totally fixable though 🙂
Just return it to the slow cooker and add the extra chocolate then reset it and it will be great xx

I must of done something wrong as mine has not set. 😟 I followed the recipe and it’s been in fridge most of yesterday and all night. Help I am a member of this pages facebook

SO GOOD !!!! Did alter the recipe slightly – made a half batch using 1 block coles mint chocolate, half tin of condensed milk, butter, peppermint essence and topped with peppermint crisp bar.

My first SC fudge was this! This is soooooo delish! Recommend this to anyone who loves peppermint chocolate. Definately add the peppermint essence if you have it.
