Overnight Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients
 

  • 1 sheet frozen shortcrust pastry, defrosted
  • 1 brown onion finely diced
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 300mL cream (or milk)
  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese

Instructions
 

  • Line slow cooker with pastry.
  • Add onion and ham.
  • Whisk eggs and cream together then pour over onion and ham.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top then cook on low overnight (5hrs)
  • When done, cool with tea towel under the lid.

  1. Wow this is absolutely fantastic 10/10 ?Best way to wake up with this cooking in the morning ? Thanks so much for sharing it with us Lynette! I doubled the recipe ingredients for a bigger quiche and used : 10 eggs, 1.5 TBS onion flakes, 600mls cream, 300gm diced ham, 1.5 cups grated cheese and used 3 sheets of shortcrust pastry to line my 7lt breville sc (lined with baking paper first). I also added 1 TBS of mixed herbs and some cracked black pepper. Amazing ? will definantly make this again ?

  2. Worked nicely, cooked a 10 version for 6 hours on low. Did this overnight, put on when went to bed, shut off and put in fridge for dinner when I got up on the morning. Is pretty creamy, so will be reducing the amount of cream next time.
