  • 3L Cider
  • 2 large oranges
  • 2 large red apples
  • 1 large cinnamon stick
  • Whole cloves
  • 2 lemons
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • Pinch nutmeg


  • Poke 6 whole cloves each into the apples and oranges and add to cooker with cider, sugar,1 sliced lemon, and cinnamon stick.
  • Cook on high for 1 hour then add nutmeg and cook on low for a further 2 hours.
  • Taste and add more sugar if needed. Cook on low for one more hour.
  • Turn off and leave to cool. Remove whole ingredients and strain the liquid. Add thin slices from the second lemon and serve warm or chilled.
