(More than just a) Sausage Roll

  • 1 x Puff Pastry Sheet
  • 8 rashers of smoked bacon
  • 500g sausage meat
  • 200g grated mature cheddar cheese
  • 1 red onion finely diced


  • Lay out pastry sheet and top with the bacon.
  • Mix sausage meat with the cheese and onion and put on top of the bacon.
  • Fold pastry so all the meat is covered.
  • Place in a lined slow cooker (your sc will need to be AT LEAST 4.5L capacity.) and cook for 3 hours on high with a tea towel under the lid.
  • Transfer to a baking tray and place in the centre of a pre heated oven (180oC) for around 15 minutes to brown and crisp up the pastry.
  • Enjoy hot or cold!
