Ingredients
 

Bun Dough

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

Bun Glaze

  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. boiling water

Icing

  • 1 cup Icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Soft butter/marg
  • 1 tbsp. warm water
  • 1 tsp Strawberry essence
  • 1 drop Pink food colouring
  • Coconut
  • 100's & 1000's

Instructions
 

  • Make dough
  • Combine ingredients to make your dough.
  • Roll into ball
  • Cut into 8 pieces
  • Roll each piece into ball
  • Roll out like sausage & flatten just a little to make into finger bun.
  • Put in lined slow cooker on high for 1 & 1/2 hours.
  • Tea Towel under lid.
  • Take out when finished, let cool
  • Put glaze on top
  • Ice & decorate

  1. Turned out great, my niece (4) loved them.
    They are more like a scone than a finger bun you would buy from the shops, but still super tasty and I would def make them again 🙂

    Very easy recipe and has the house smelling absolutely delicious as they are cooking! I too think they are more of a scone than a finger bun from the shops, but very similar in taste and so yummy. Best eaten on the day they are cooked as the bun tends to dry out after a day. All adults and children involved in the afternoon tasting session gave them a big thumbs up here 🙂
