Melting sticky pork rashers

Ingredients
 

  • 650 grams pork rashers
  • 2tbsp brown sugar
  • 1tsp mince garlic
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 4 star anise
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3tbsp light soy sauce
  • 3tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2tsp Chinese five spice
  • 250ml rice wine
  • 2tbsp sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut pork rashers into 1 inch pieces and add to slow cooker.
  • Combine all ingredients and mix well and pour over pork.
  • Slow cooker on high for 3 and a half hours turning pork every hour.
  • Turn down to low for last 30 minutes while making your side dishes.
  • Please note tea towel under the lid after 2 hours.
  • Enjoy

  1. Love this recipe. Have already made it twice. Delicious Asian flavours, melting tender pork all with minimal prep time. Will be made many more times I am certain.
