Melting sticky pork rashers

650 grams pork rashers

2tbsp brown sugar

1tsp mince garlic

1tsp black pepper

4 star anise

1tsp ground cinnamon

3tbsp light soy sauce

3tbsp dark soy sauce

2tsp Chinese five spice

250ml rice wine

2tbsp sesame oil


1Cut pork rashers into 1 inch pieces and add to slow cooker.

2Combine all ingredients and mix well and pour over pork.

3Slow cooker on high for 3 and a half hours turning pork every hour.

4Turn down to low for last 30 minutes while making your side dishes.

5Please note tea towel under the lid after 2 hours.

Love this recipe. Have already made it twice. Delicious Asian flavours, melting tender pork all with minimal prep time. Will be made many more times I am certain.
