Mango Chutney Chicken Drumsticks

Indian style mango chutney and chicken drumsticks go together to form a delicious drumstick dinner the whole family will love! You are just 5 ingredients away from a great meal!

Ingredients
 

  • 1 - 1.5kg chicken drumsticks
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 x 425g can of mango slices, drained and cut into slices
  • 1 x 350g jar of Indian style Mango Chutney (NOTE: the kind from Indian section of the grocery store not the kind in the jam section)
  • 1-2T corn flour mixed with 1T water

Instructions
 

  • Place raw chicken into slow cooker and top with diced onion
  • Add mango slices and pour over mango chutney
  • Cook on low for approx. 5hrs, stirring once half way to disperse chutney
  • 10mins prior to serving add the corn flour slurry thicken the sauce to a lovely gravy

Notes

  • You could also cook this with chicken fillets like thighs/breasts etc however if doing so reduce time to 3-4hrs only

  2. I can not recommend this recipe enough. I made this for the very first time tonight and the only thing I did different was I added some fresh chopped carrots.
    This was amazing, so easy, 6 ingredients and a wholesome, healthy, tasty dish with leftovers to freeze. This is being added to the favourites menu at my house

  3. Great recipe! I added some chilli to give it a little bit more “interest”. I also found that more mango chutney & mango slices needed if you intend to make the 1.5kg amount.
