1 packet of lentils probably means 1 pound since beans normally come in 1 lb or 2 lb bags

Not that we have ever heard no 🙂
It’s because everyone thinks their way is the only way so fight and carry on about what is and isn’t allowed to be fed to their animals and thus everyone’s animals. So we ask folks to do what’s right for THEM 🙂 Simple that way to stop all the nonsense.

Does anyone know how much is “1 packet of lentils?” Ounces of dry lentils would be good.

Not sure, but most recipes in those proportions, call for 1 1/2 cup of lentils to 2lbs of meat protein which would be 8 1/2 oz = .88kgs I always add 2 lbs of liver as well.
