  • 3-4 Potatoes
  • 1 Cup soda water
  • 500G of SR flour
  • 2.5 Tsp yeast
  • 1Tsp sugar
  • 1Cup warm milk
  • 1Tsp salt


  • Peel cut cook potatoes and the mash let cool
  • Add as much SR flour as potatoes will take, add in soda water mix in more SR flour.
  • Add potato mix to your bowl adding sugar salt and yeast set bread maker to dough setting
  • In your cup of warm milk add yeast and sugar let if start working & frothing up,
  • add to potato mix,
  • knead into dough adding more SR Flour if needed then let rise double in size
  • break into balls of dough
  • line slow cooker and cook using tea towel until golden
  • Traditionally this is shallow fried
  • You can then enjoy with jam or traditionally they are dipped in salt and then eaten
  • Enjoy
