Lamb Shanks in Char Sui Sauce

1Coat shanks in flour

2Heat oil - add lamb shanks in batches and brown (remove and set aside)

3Add onions, garlic, ginger and chilli - saute for 3-4 min

4Add chicken stock, Char Sui sauce, Hoi Sin sauce and soy sauce, mixing well.

5Add lamb shanks and turn to coat in sauce

6Turn cooker to LOW setting - cook for 6-8 hours

8When lamb is cooked, remove meat and thicken sauce by either reducing liquid or adding a little cornflour

10Serve with mashed potato and green beans spooning as much or as little sauce as you like.
