Chicken Casserole

This is a very easy recipe to put together and great for a cold winters day!

Ingredients
 

  • 3 skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2 large potatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 5 button mushrooms
  • 1 TBL garlic powder
  • 1 TBL of mixed herbs
  • 1 LTR vegeta chicken stock
  • 1 CUP of frozen mixed peas and corn / or vegetables of your choice
  • Salt & Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Supreme chicken flavoured Gravox powder (to thicken)

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to your slow cooker
  • Cook on low for 6 hours
  • On the last hour, add peas and corn / frozen vegetables and enough of the Gravox powder to thicken the casserole and add more flavour.
  • Serve with crusty, buttered bread.

  1. This was a nice flavour but I think one liter is too much stock… it ended up basically the chicken and veg in a lot of clear stock and couldn’t thicken it. Perhaps half a liter or less of stock? Otherwise would make again thank you.

  2. Hearty meal full of flavour. Other than forgetting the mushrooms, followed the recipe, just reduced ingredients to fit small SC.

  3. Very easy, mums and wife loved it. Had to reduce the quantities a little to fit my 2.5 L bowl.
    Wonderful savoury flavour, not spicy for our mums.
