Italian Meatballs
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 dry breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons grated cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 500g sausage mince
- 1 kg beef mince meat
- SAUCE
- 445ml tomato sauce
- 177ml tomato paste
- 1 small onion, diced (optional)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup water
- Dry parsley flakes (optional)
Instructions
- 1) In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk, add the breadcrumbs, cheese, salt and pepper and garlic. Add beef and sausage mince and mix well. Shape Into 1 inch balls ( around ping pong ball size), and brown lightly in a frying pan, and transfer to the slow cooker.
- 2) In another bowl, combine the tomato sauce, paste, onion, broth, water, seasoning and parsley flakes. Mix well and pour over meatballs.
- 3) Cook for 4 - 5 hours on HIGH
