No this one isn’t in our 1.5L category it’s for bigger cookers 🙂

Delicious. It’s definitely not a 1.5l recipe. I did use a 1.5l pot. And it rose so well it stuck to the tea towel. And I admit it, I licked the tea towel as it was so yummy. 😉

My son in laws brother says this is the best thing he ever put in his mouth! I made just a plain vanilla cake from scratch

I made this for dessert tonight in my 3.5L slow cooker. It was so delicious! Served with vanilla icecream, it was a big hit

I’d say from the image it’s a 6L

I could not find it: What size cooker please?

First time trying a dessert in the SC, this was a great success. I split the mixture into 6 x 200ml metal pudding basins and the mixture fit perfectly (making the sponge from scratch only took 5-10 mins).

Made this tonight!!! Definitely going to be a regular in my house!!
I reduced the sugar in the sauce to only ½ cup too but also because my hubby is a diabetic.
I don’t have packet cake mixes in my house as I love baking and cook cakes from scratch. Used the classic Woman’s Weekly Butter Cake mix instead but with wholemeal flour (better for diabetes) which worked just great!!
Butter Cake – Women’s Weekly
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
1/3 cup milk
Have butter at room temp; beat butter with vanilla until light & creamy, add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each addition. Stir in half the sifted flour with half the milk, stir until combined. Add remaining flour and milk, stir in lightly then beat until mixture is smooth.

what size slow cooker is best used for this recipe?!

This was brilliant! I used 1/3 cup of brown sugar instead of the 1 cup, and I can’t imagine wanting to use any more sugar in it. Definitely a recipe we will be making regularly.

Absolutely delicious!!! Will definitely be making this again, was to die for!!! The only thing I changed was the brown sugar, instead of putting 1 cup, I only put 1/2 cup as I thought it would’ve been too overly sweet!!! It was still sweet but omg it was sooooooooo good!!!
