Golden Syrup Pudding – Canola, Egg, Gluten, Nut and Soy free
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups gluten free SR flour (Woolworths Free From)
- 30 grams butter
- 1/3 cup golden syrup
- 100ml Milk, warm
Sauce
- 30 grams butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 2/3 cups water
Instructions
- Turn cooker onto high.
- Combine sauce ingredients in glass jug and heat on high in microwave until dissolved (only took 1 minute in mine). Pour into slow cooker bowl.
- I left sauce for about 20 minutes while I prepared pudding mix.
- Rub flour and butter together, mix syrup into flour and butter.
- Slowly add warm milk, mixing until smooth.
- Pour into syrup.
- Cook for Approx. 1 1/2 hours on high (1.5L slow cooker)
- We had about 450ml of sauce when finished
- NOTE: Could also be done Dairy free or Lactose free
- The flour and golden syrup form firm ball so I add just enough milk that it is smooth/soft enough to scrape/pour from mixing bowl/jug

Do you need to use a tea towel?
The recipe doesn’t state how much milk is needed, even an approx would be helpful . How much milk do you need to use ?

No I don’t use a tea towel as we like plenty of sauce 🙂

These were amazing. Very easy to make. A big winner with my 3 monsters!!!!
I made this for my 3 very fussy little monsters, and it was a huge hit with all of them and I have been asked to make it again. When I made this I made it with lactose free milk and butter and served with soy ice cream. So good
