Love Love Love this! Served with Mash – Beautiful! The steak (we used chuck) just fell apart. Will be making this again & again!
Just wow! So easy definately adding to our families dinners kids scoffed it down.
So good 🙂 meat just fell apart and was so yummy. Shredded the meat and used left overs in rolls for lunch the next day. (Didn’t use garlic or onion due to food intolerance but was still very tasty)
How many kg is the steak? Just wondering as I want to do different cut.
Yum! Added more garlic as we love it! Definitely a favourite ?
This turned out too salty when I made it, but that could be due to the fact that I cooked it for 10 – 11 hours. I managed to save it by adding some water, sugar and a dash of vinegar, and it tastes pretty good.
Followed the recipe except only added 1 Tblspn of w.sauce not 2. Found it to be quite salty though..
Made this today and it was really nice. I used gravy beef, about 700g. Next time I’ll use a kilo as I had more gravy than meat. Served with mash and steamed peas and carrots.
This was delicious, even my picky 19yo enjoyed it. Definitely got the thumbs up a from our household and it’ll be a regular meal here! I only had a tin of potato & leek soup so used this instead, also didn’t have BBQ sauce so used tomato instead. Was a winner!!
New favourite 🙂
I didn’t brown the meat but was still amazing
And found I had to take the lid off for the last 1-2hrs to get the sauce to thicken up.
Love it
Thank you !
About to try this out today but was wondering if it will still turn out the same if i cook it for half the time but on high?
Assuming you watch it doesn’t burn/dry out I think that will be ok 🙂
Delicious! Has quickly become a family favourite.
great recipie
We liked this. Used cream of asparagus soup because that was what we had on hand! Only used one tblsp of worcestershire (for less salt) and it still tasted good. Added carrots and broccoli as well, then peas in the last 20min.
Will this. Be okay to leave on while at work it will be on a timer just wasn’t sure with the gravy.
Thanks
So long as your slow cooker timer is set for the prescribed recipe time it should be 🙂
Fantastic recipie, the whole family loved it
Absolutely love this recipe. With the leftovers I made pies.
Amazing! Served with homemade chips & veg, my super fussy 3yo ate all of his garlic gravy steak even used bread to wipe up the remaining gravy! (Very very rare for him to eat dinner) & my 1 year old, demolished his too, big smiles all round! Will be having on a regular basis.
Thankyou for the easy recipe!
Can I ask what sort of gravy powder people use? What your preference is? Is it a full flavour, rich gravy or just a general Gravox or Homebrand gravy powder. Chicken or Beef based?
I like a rich meat gravy myself 🙂
WOW ? what a perfect rendition, added extra garlic and risoni, serving with potato & kumara mash and veggies
Winner winner beefy dinner ?
Love this recipe! If I am lucky enough to have left overs then it goes into pies. When I made this. a few years ago my then 13 year old son’s friend loved it and had 3 servings! His Mum now makes this recipe as well.
My absolute favourite.
Love love love the gravy and meat just fell apart.
Delish!! Steak (I used Oyster Blade) was so tender and fell apart. Served with a vegetable bake.
Just made this tonight, but instead used a nice piece of topside roast and it was absolutely amazing!
Just sliced the meat up and put it back in the slow cooker immersed in all the beautiful flavours from the gravy mix on warm while I finish off the last of the roast veggies.
I used my searing slow cooker for the first time to make this. The meat was perfect. The sauce was delicious – I’ll add more garlic next time because we love it.
Cooked this for dinner and I am so pleased I tried this recipe. While it was cooking the house smelled amazing, Meal was served with mash and steamed vegetables and was absolutely delicious. Have recommended to friends to give it a try
deliciousness on a plate!!!
had it with chips, gravy was amazing on the chips. will definitely be doing this again
YUM!! Such an easy simple recipe and so so tasty
Another tasty, easy recipe 😋 My slow cooker cooks a little hot and it was cooked in 6 hours on low with 4 cross cut blade steak. Served with roast pumpkin, carrots, peas and garlic wilted spinach. Will be a regular over the cooler months ahead.
