  1. Quick, cheap and simple recipe! Perfect for 6lt slow cooker bowl, I added some diced onion and salt & pepper. Absolutely yummy! Thanks for the recipe Tanya Naughton 🙂

  2. This was a hit. I added garlic & sliced shallots to mine. Super cheap to make & very filling. We got 2 meals worth for 4 people out of it.

  3. Made this tonight after seeing Paulene post it on the group page ….. absolutely ecstatic how tasty & delicious it was. so easy with a 5 min quick prep & only 2 hours cooking time.
I added some spring onions & also had to sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top as I didn’t have any other cheese to grate Lol
I forgot about the tea towel under the lid trick so I just popped it into my ‘bench oven’ for 5-10 mins to brown n crisp up! Add a small salad & you’ve got a wonderful meal
    Definitely a winner Yummo!

  4. I’m not sure if I did something wrong but mine was very stodgy (perhaps overcooked or eggs not beaten enough?). I only had diced bacon from the deli and it definitely didn’t give it the same depth of flavour that smokey bacon would.

  5. 5 stars
    ERMAGHERD!!!
Simple to make – smells divine – tastes even better.
Brilliant idea for brunch or lazy weekend lunch or a more filling starter for a crowd/group.

My SC runs a little hotter so it was ready in an hour and a half.
