Fast and Easy Porridge (1.5L friendly)
Fast and easy porridge from your slow cooker in just 30 minuntes! Also fits great in small slow cookers like the 1.5L
Serving: 1
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups boiling water
- Add grated fruit or nuts...your own choice of extras
- Cinnamon
- Sugar....once again sugar of your choice
Instructions
- Spray 1.5 l slow cooker before adding ingredients
- Add all ingredients
- Cook in high for about 30 minutes...more time thicker porridge...less thinner
- You can halves the oats and water measures if too much porridge

Would this still work with milk instead of water
Would it work if one cup was boiling water and the other hot milk?
This is amazing. Just the way I like my porridge but never have been able to perfect on the stove top. I didn’t add the sugar or fruit or nuts.
My daughter loves it too and asked if we can cook it that way every time we have oats.

Brilliant before school breakfast for one – adapted to 1/2 cup oats + 1cup boiling water, approx 20mins on high before adding the extras
