Ingredients
 

  • 4 Veal Osso Bucco
  • 3 Celery Sticks, roughly chopped
  • 3 Carrots, roughly chopped
  • 2 Tsp Garlic
  • 2 Onions, diced
  • 4 Bay leaves
  • 400g Tinned Chopped/crushed tomatoes
  • 375mL Beef stock
  • 375ML White wine
  • 65mL Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 Sweet Potato diced, optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients minus the Osso Bucco in your slow cooker and stir.
  • Add Osso Bucco and spoon over sauce mix to cover.
  • Put the lid on, and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until meat is falling from the bone,
  • Serve with mashed potato.
  • NOTE - If at the end, sauce needs thickening, remove meat from sauce mix, cover with foil. Pour sauce into a saucepan and simmer until it has reached your desired state on a medium heat, stirring regularly.

  1. Simple and delicious, a lovely rich flavour. ! I didn’t have any celery and used only 125ml of wine. I did need to thicken it a little at the end. Will definitely make this again!
    I served it with mashed sweet potato, rather than cooking the sweet potato in the dish.

  2. I made this the other day – and it was BEAUTIFUL. Love every bit. The only thing I would say is that it does need to thicken up. I did lid off for final 45 mins.- not enough.

  3. We Loved it! I Cooked it in the slow cooker for about 5 hours 4.5 on low the last 30minutes on high just to thicken it up a little bit turned out perfect
