Easy Honey Mustard Meatballs
A delicious family meal made easy on a busy day!
Equipment
- 3.5L slow cooker
Ingredients
- 1 large tray ready-made raw meatballs (I use a tray of 35) – see note
- 1 brown onion, thin sliced
- 1 jar honey mustard simmer style meal base sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 60 grams baby spinach leaves
Instructions
- Add onion to slow cooker and place raw meatballs on top of onion.
- Combine the honey mustard sauce with the extra honey and mustard and pour over the meatballs
- Do not stir
- Cook on low for 3.5hours with TEA TOWEL TRICK. You can safely stir the meatballs to combine etc after 2hrs of cooking time, they'll then be fully firm and won't break apart. More tips on slow cooking meatballs HERE
- Then add in baby spinach and continue to cook for another 30mins (total cooking time is 4hrs)
- Serve with cream mashed potato or on rice with extra steamed veg
- Note: Meatballs can be any variety you like. I often use sausage mince style ones. Chicken would also be lovely. Beef would also work
