4 large lamb shanks

1 tblsp tomato paste

4 cloves crushed garlic

2 carrots sliced

1 onion sliced

2 celery stalks sliced

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup maple syrup


1/4 cup tomato ketchup


1 can beer

1/2 cup wine red or white

1-2 tblsp beef stock powder


11) place all ingredients in slow cooker and cover with water.


32) cook on low for 8-9 hours

How much water?? It doesnt say

This recipe was absolutely gorgeous. The sauce was so nice I finished it off with a spoon and kept the leftover sauce in the sc to use as a gravy for a meal the next day. The only thing I did differently was that I mixed the sauce up separately and then poured it over the lamb. Make sure you use the sauce as gravy, yum.
