This definitely lived up to its name! It was delicious! ?
This “ Delicious Steak” is well named because it really is delicious. The only way my husband will eat steak ???
Delicious indeed!!
We used cubed chuck steak (1kg) and left out the water
I don’t leave my lid off at the end but I thickened with tea towel trick and some corn flour slurry
Next time I’d reduce the Worcestershire down just a fraction to 2/3 of a cup
We served with a chive and parmesan mashed potato and dang near licked our plates clean it was THAT tasty!!!
Will definitely cook this one again 🙂
What pieces of steak do you recommend?
Chuck, oyster, blade, casserole etc
Something with a little fat is ideal over a super lean cut that can be dry
Would the thickened cream be double cream or crème fraiche in Uk?
I’ve heard other UK members tell me they use Creme Fraiche ?
Could you replace the thickened cream with sour cream
We really enjoyed this dish. Next time I’ll cut down on the Worcestershire sauce and I added loads more mushrooms because we love them.
Definitely make this one again.
Delicious steak was absolutely delicious. I followed some tips ie 2/3c of Worcestershire sauce, I diced the beef too.
Loved loved loved it ?
It was delicious ? half a cup of Worcestershire sauce and the tea towel trick
Oh my! This is truly delicious and will definitely be on the menu regularly. I followed advice to half cup Worcestershire and used tea towel.
Delicious indeed and meat was soooo tender! Served with mash and vegies.
As per previous reviews I only added half a cup of Worcestershire sauce.
Do you add the cream at the end
Use cooking cream and add it at the start 🙂
This is absolutely delicious. I also put some corn in it as well. I used 1/2 cup of the Worcestershire sauce. I used cooking cream as well. I did use just over a 1/4 of water but won’t use water next time feel it doesn’t need it( my personal opinion). Will be cooking this more often too take with us on our club days and speedway days.
This was amazing. I used thickened cream, 1/2 cup worsesterchire sauce, heaps of mushrooms, diced casserole meat (was all I could get) and no water. I put it all in at the start because I was at work all day, used the tea towel method, and cooked it for just short of 11 hours. Perfect & delicious on mashed potato’s.
What is the “tea towel trick” please.
All explained HERE Jackie
This was soooo yummy. Making it for second time in 2 weeks! I diced some chuck steak and used half cup of worstershire. This is delicious with mashed potato and greens – thank you!
What is the tea towel trick?
Tea Towel Trick explained HERE
Damn damn damn delicious!! ?
Minimum prep, basic ingredients, but outstanding results! ??
Used scotch fillets, only 1/2 cup worcestershire and omitted the water (tea towel trick) HEAPS of sauce, thickened with cornflour slurry, served with buttered parmesan pappardelle and baguette.
?????
This recipe is certainly delicious. I used diced chuck steak didn’t add water and used cooking cream
Wondering if this would work with chicken
I’ve never tried that Wendy, if you do be sure to let us know how it goes 🙂
This was such an easy recipe to prepare and cook without fuss, but with immense flavour. Served with mashed potato, this is a winner in my family. It lives up to it’s name……. it was definitely delicious. I used diced topside steak.
Great review gonna try it
