Fudge Frequently Asked Questions
Loved this recipe..”so easy to make and a hit with my family.
Lid on or off The slow cooker?
Always lid off for fudge, always lid on for any other recipe 🙂
1 tin of condensed milk, what amount is that?
Just the standard can – it’s 395gm
Mines didn’t set I presume there is too much condensed milk what can I do to set it
That’s the same volume of condensed milk I always use but I prefer 500-600g chocolate myself
You can just remelt yours and add in another block then reset it and it’ll be great 🙂
Is it just 1 tablespoon of butter?
Yes
Hi
I was wondering if I could add more butter to this? (Maybe 25g) Would I need to amend anything to incorporate this?
Is there a reason you’d want to add more butter Simon? Potentially you’d need to up the chooclate a little more if you did I think?
Just made this today, exactly how the recipe stated and it was amazing! Will definitely be making this again. Something easy to do for Christmas Day. Thanks so much for the recipe.
I’ve made this before and it was amazing! Made it for work and also made some for me and my husband, and everyone absolutely loved it!
How long does it keep for? I’m making it again for work and need to know how far in advance I can make it.
Weeks in fridge or months in freezer FUDGE FAQ
I read the fudge tips and it said to cook on low, this recipe says high…which would you recommend? Thanks
Hi Fiona,
I do always cook my fudge on low for around 1hr 15-30
I notice this recipe is high but less time
but if I was cooking it, I’d still use low myself just for personal preference
