Cream of Celery Soup

  • Yields: 4-6


1 Brown onion chopped

1 Bunch celery, leafy tops removed, chopped

500g Potato peeled and chopped

2 heaped Tspn minced garlic

1.5ltr Massel chicken stock

3/4 cup cream

Season with salt & cracked pepper


1Place all ingredients in slow cooker (except cream) and cook on low for 6 hours.

2Blend and add cream, stir through and serve with crusty bread.

Made this tonight and it was yum! Great way to use up leftover celery at the end of the week. Hubby had seconds!

Tried this tonight. It is so tasty. However if I did it again I would remove the strands from the sticks of celery before chopping. After I blitzed it, there were fibres through my soup. Simple fix and I will definitely do it again.
