4 chicken drumsticks,
4 bone in chicken thighs
2 carrots chopped
2 sticks celery chopped
2 onions quartered
100g chopped bacon
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 tbs tomato paste
300ml red wine
100ml chicken stock
150g mushrooms quartered
1Put onion,carrot and celery in slow cooker,season with salt and pepper.Fry bacon and set aside.
2Put flour in bag and season chicken and add to flour.Dust off excess flour and fry in a little oil in pan.
3Add browned chicken pieces to slow cooker and sprinkle bacon over the top.
4Add garlic and tomato paste to fry pan and cook for 1 minutes.Add wine and bring to boil for 2 minutes,add chicken stock return to boil,pour over chicken.
5Cook on low for 6 hours,
6After 3 hours add mushrooms.
7Thicken with a little cornflour for a thicker sauce.
