Chicken and French Onion Casserole

Ingredients
 

  • 1.3 - 1.5kg chicken thigh fillets
  • 1-2 packets French Onion Soup Mix
  • 3 Tblspns plain flour
  • 2 small onions, sliced
  • 4 rashers bacon, diced
  • 1-2 cups water
  • Sour Cream
  • Parsley

Instructions
 

  • Add flour and dry soup mix in a snap lock or freezer bag (if you like lots of sauce use 2 packets soup mix). Add chicken and coat well. Brown chicken and add to slow cooker with bacon and onion.
  • Add 1 cup of water (per packet of soup mix - 2 packets = 2 cups of water) to the left over flour and soup mix, whisk well and pour over chicken.
  • Cook for around 6 hours on low.
  • When cooked add sour cream (I use 4-5 tablespoons) and chopped parsley.
  • I use salt reduced French Onion soup
  • Serve with rice and steamed broccoli.
