Serving: 4
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 4 hours
Total Time 4 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 300 mls cooking cream
  • 1 Camembert cheese approx 300g (or triple cream Brie)
  • 1 & 1/2 TBL cornflour

Instructions

  • Combine a little of the cream with cornflour until smooth.
  • Dice up the Camembert (large chunks are fine)
  • Place all ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hrs. (Times may vary as my sc runs hot)
  • Stir occasionally.

Notes

  • My hint would be to add slivered almonds and bacon to the sauce.
  • For garlic lovers, drop a little garlic in the mix from the beginning. ?
  • There is enough sauce to make 3-4 serves if you wish to have less sauce on each plate. ?

Absolutely delicious! I’m not a fan of Camembert normally but it sounded amazing and it was! The flavour wasn’t too strong and it was all eaten up super fast. I added 1tbsp of garlic and some bacon bits as well and it was amazing. Thanks for this recipe

  2. Amazing! So yummy! I added 2 tsp of minced garlic to mine just because I like to keep the vampires and husband away ?

I made this last night with thigh fillets and thoroughly LOVED it ❤️

    My whole family did

I added a spoon of minced garlic at the start because we love garlic and I used the Brie option

    I wouldn’t personally change anything else ?

I will definitely cook it again without hesitation ??

    Your recipe was fantastic Denise

  4. I made this recently and used triple Brie instead and everyone loved it. We all found it to be quite rich and so our serving size was small and I served it with calliflower rice

  5. We absolutely loved this, i doubled the recipe added bacon, garlic and cooked an hour or two longer. So creamy and delicious

We had this tonight and loved it. I used the brie option and scraped off some of the rind because I find it a little much flavour wise. We love garlic so added a tablespoon of crushed garlic. I added the suggested almond slices as suggested in recipe in the last hour. I like my sauce thick so also put tea towel under lid for last hour. I also stirred through some chopped shallots just before serving. Served with Cabbage and Bacon recipe and found they complemented each other

  7. This is amazing I paired it with grated zucchini and it was delicious and a total of 400 calories per serve.

What can I say other than delicious, simple to make, in fact I think it’s foolproof! I’ve read that some people have found this rich but I certainly didn’t, but for my elderly mother I put the sauce in a small bowl instead of on her chicken at serving time. This way she could control how much sauce she wanted….and she devoured the lot! Definately will be made on a regular basis!

YUMMM!!!! I added onion, garlic , slivered almonds and some carrot at the start, then mixed through some baby spinach leaves (they get added to everything I cook ??). Served on a bed of rice with broccoli and cauliflower. Everyone loved it, even Mr’s 2 & 3!
Next time I’ll probably add mushrooms and bacon.

  10. Not a fan at all. Waste of expensive ingredients really. None of the family liked it either. It managed to be bland AND have a weird aftertaste.

  11. An easy and super impressive meal!
I added a 1/2tspn garlic and an hour before serving some finely cut spring onions, fresh chives and some fresh parsley, along with cracked black pepper.
I used 200g Camembert and 125g triple Brie.
Served with rice and steamed greens.
    Absolutely delicious. ?

  12. I turned this dish into a pot pie – served with vegies
But next time Ill have chips on the side and use the leftover sauce poured over the top.
    A lovely creamy dish 🙂

  13. This was delicious! Added some garlic, bacon, onion, carrot, broccoli, mushrooms, peas, corn and spinach. Also added a cup of chicken stock to make it juicier with our basmati rice. Thanks for the recipe, I have just found a new family favourite ??

  14. I super love this recipe! but lessen the camembert and add 1 tbsp of garlic and it just tasted amazing. Had it with pasta and topped with bacon bits. Even my fussy husband who doesnt eat pasta loved it! Had 2 bowls of it 😀

  15. Made this tonight for dinner and it was a winner with the fussy teenagers in the house.
They wanted it with pasta so added a little milk to make sure the pasta wasn’t too crunchy and it did not soak up all the sauce.
It worked out well.. I will make it again for sure and will partner it with zoodles or even cauliflower rice.. for a LCHF alternative.

This was so easy to make and was absolutely beautiful we had it with pasta . and had lots of sauce to go round

  17. It was good! I’m not a massive fan of camembert or Brie but my other half loves brie so I thought I would make it especially for him. So I made it with Brie, and I also added some garlic and mushrooms. Obviously not going to be a weekly meal for us but if he asks me to make it again I liked it enough to do so ??
Served it with a microwave pack of oriental rice and veggie fritters!

    Omfg awesome just awesome

Added garlic and bacon cut the chicken up and had it on pasta

    Thanks sooooo much

  19. I made this tonight for the first time. About 3 hours in, I noticed it was a little bland so I added Chilli, garlic, bacon and onion and cooked for another two hours. Served with mash and green beans and even my fussy eaters enjoyed it. Great base recipe that you can do so many things with.

  20. I found it very yummy,I put mushrooms, garlic,Spring onions,Pkt chicken noodle soup mix black pepper,,next time I might add spinach, and corn,I cooked my chicken in slow cooker first, then shredded it,then done my sauce, and mixed my shredded chicken into sauce and put in vol a vonts, and finished of in oven to heat through ,yummo will definitely make again

  21. Did not like it at all , sorry.

Smelt amazing while cooking throughout the day. I didn’t enjoy the taste even after adding bacon, mushroom and garlic like others have.

Not to worry. Will definitely try again sometime.

  22. Made this tonight with 4 breasts, did not double the cheese or cream and there was still heaps of sauce left over. I added sliced onion, 2 diced bacon rashers and two cloves of garlic. Was missing something but still tasty. This feed 2 adults and 4 kids 2 of which are really fussy eaters and they all loved it.
Served with mash potato sweet potato, beans, carrot and broccoli.

  23. We don’t like Camembet so used Triple Cream Brie, didnt add anything else, all i have to say is amazing, stuck to the recipe with the amount of Cornflour, sauce was thick and amaxing, chicken did fall apart so will try cooking next time for 3.5 hrs

  24. This was really nice, I cooked some bacon, shallots and garlic in a pan and added it to the chicken and whole mushrooms.
    Also used thigh fillets.
    Fussy teenagers liked it.

OMG, this is amazing. Recommend everyone giving it ago. I did add onion, bacon and spinach and served it with pasta (for the kids) and brocolli on the side.

  26. I loved this recipe so much that I was licking the spoon clean every time I stirred the dish! I did add bacon however it really doesn’t need any extra flavouring. There was plenty of sauce and next time I would add for chicken fillets instead of two.

  27. Is a really nice meal , whole family loved it, I use chicken thighs and add bacon , we have had it with rice , used it in home made pies , had it with mash and vegies . I also love the skin on the Camembert cheese ? I find it gives it an awesome flavour. Will continue to make this dish 🙂

  28. I doubled the recipe and use 1 camembert cheese and 1 brie cheese, I also added onion, garlic, bacon, pepper, cayenne pepper and paprika. Was served with pasta for the family and i had low carb noodles with mine. It was nice but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make it again and am using the leftovers for pie filling.

  29. Sensational and so very easy. thank you very much. My wife was not sure she would like it, but the fact she went back for seconds speaks volumes.

  30. Cooked this tonight. I used chicken thigh instead of breast also added garlic and spinach. Was too rich for my liking but my fiancé enjoyed it.

  31. I cooked this for the 1st time tonight n loved it!!! I also added diced bacon, a punnet of sliced mushrooms, 1 diced onion, 2 tsps of minced garlic n threw some peas in towards the end!!! I served it on mashed potato, was absolutely delish!!! Will definitely make it again ??

  32. Sorry but my family and I did not like this one. Way to strong all it tasted like was Cambert Cheese even tough I added the bacon, garlic, onion and a dash of white wine.

  33. Well well! We finally tried the famous chicken camembert in our house this evening!! I added 1 onion finely chopped, 3 rashers of bacon finely chopped & browned, 2 tsp minced garlic & 1 brie & 1 camembert. Also used bone in thighs. Cooked for 5 hours on high. The flavour is deeeelish!!! But very strong in camembert so not for the faint hearted. The aftertaste is quite strong also (hubby wasn’t sure on that part). Next time I will add less bacon as it was quite over powering & will try 2 brie. 8/10 & would definitely make again.

  34. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Not only did my whole love it but my 15 month old who is a picky eater, loved it as well..

  35. Christine Nash

I added some sauteed bacon, onion and garlic to the slow cooker at the beginning. Delicious!!!
    Family favorite!!

  36. For some reason last time i made this i swear it was 4 hours on high now I’ve just had it on for an hour and half and thought id check how long should i leave this on low for now? My partner wont be home until 6.30 which is 2 hours from now and i dont want it to be overcooked 🙁

  37. My whole family absolutely loved this. I used 1 x 125gm brie (that’s all I had) plus added some minced garlic, mushrooms and red capsicum. I cooked the breasts whole and cut them up to serve on a bed of pureed sweet potato. It was beautiful. Thank you for the recipe.

  38. WOW! Loved it. Read all the reviews on here and added chopped bacon, onion, mushrooms and 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic. The family (young and old) gave it a resounding 9/10 which means I will be making it again.

  39. Added bacon, onion and garlic. Was lovely, though very rich so possibly not for everyone. I loved mine but couldn’t have too much of the sauce on my chicken. Hubby licked his plate clean and would probably have drunk the sauce if there had been any left!

  40. This is fantastic and so easy! Ive made with both camembert and brie on different occasions and its great both ways. I add chopped bacon at the begining too

  41. Absolutely wonderful. Lots of sauce produced, I felt not enough chicken for the sauce quantity so will use more chicken next time. Will also be trying with some bacon and mushroom to add that bit extra

  42. This was amazing, I ended up using 4 small chicken breasts and i added garlic and bacon as some of the comments suggested but didnt adjust the cream/cheese. Made a perfect amount for my family with a little leftover and served with rice and veg. I also broke it up about 20 mins before it was ready so it was just chunks of chicken not full breasts. All 3 of my kids want it again

  43. Michelle knight Peipman

This was so nice, I used triple Brie instead of Camembert, I have a fussy partner that does not like these cheeses but he loved this dish. That’s saying something for him. I also added about a heaped teaspoon of minced garlic and some salt and pepper. And instead of 300grams of the cheese, I used 150 grams (as that is all I had) turned out to be a lot still. I will do it this way forever. Yum, yum, yum.

  44. Made this last night. I added diced bacon, mushrooms halved and 4 cloves of crushed and diced garlic. Was delicious

  45. Yum. We all loved it, will definitely be a regular on our menu.
Added a 1/2 teaspoon of mixed garlic and some diced bacon over mash spuds. perfection !!

  46. Made this tonight – not as good as I had read in the previous comments – might try it again but not a crowd pleaser.

  47. Made this on 28/08/2020 and was a hit! Added minced garlic, a large sliced onion and mushrooms from start plus some fresh cracked pepper. Served with mashed potato, sweet potato and carrot. All four plates came back empty so a winner in my house. Thank you Paulene ?

  48. A family favourite in our house! We all do prefer it when cutting the rind off of the cheese. So If you don’t and find you don’t like it, I would highly recommend trying again with it cut off! Super yummy on mash!

  49. 5 ?????
Oh my giddy aunt, this is freaken amazeballs ?
If you’re a cheese lover, make this ASAP, you will not be dissapointed ? this is an absolute winner! ?Made with 2 Marylands, 125g brie, 300ml thickened cream, 1 1/2 tblspns cornflour, 2 tspns dijon mustard and 2 handfuls of spinach 10 minutes before serving over mash
Next time I’ll add garlic and mushrooms but had neither on hand, hence using the dijon, as I felt it needed another dimension for my palate. #winnerwinner ?

  50. Did this one last night, added garlic, used breast fillets and cut into large pieces. Added an onion. Then realised the block of Brie I had was one with garlic and chives! Very garlicy as a result but not offensive at all! Bit runny but I didnt do the cornflour, was a lazy dinner just served with a bit of broccoli, enough left for tonight and will add some fettuccini to it, as well as some broccoli. Bacon would have been a good touch I am thinking. Hubby did the usual and added HP sauce to it but he does that to everything! Usually before he tastes it!

I made this (halved the recipe for 2) and added three cloves of garlic and half an an onion. Loved the sauce and added two teasp of seeded mustard near the end. It was delicious. Served with fresh pasta and a green salad. I even took the leftovers to a friend at work and she raved over it!

  52. I made this tonight and it was Bloody Deeelicious !!! I added some garlic ( 2 teaspoons minced) and had it with steamed veggies. Only did 1/2 the amount and had to stop myself from eating the whole batch…enough for tomorrow, if I can wait that long…. 🥴♥️😋♥️👍🏻👍🏻
