2poached chicken breasts shredded

Lasagna sheets

1jar of bolongese sauce

1diced onion

2-3tablespoon garlic (we ❤ garlic)

1tablespoon mixed herbs

1tablespoon basil

1 chicken stock cube

Cheese sauce.

1tablespoon flour

2tablespoon butter

1cup milk

1cup grated cheese

1 chicken stock cube


1Mix together shredded chicken, bolongese sauce,diced onion,all herbs,garlic and a little bit of water.

2Spray bottom of slowcooker oliveoil spray.


4To create the cheese sauce i heated the flour & butter together in the microwave for 1 minute to make them 'foamey' & whisked! I then added the cheese,milk and stock cube. Mixed and back into the microwave for 1 minute intervals until it thickens whisking everytime. I just judge by eye & added more cheese if needed!

5Put a layer of sauce and chicken mixture, then lasagna sheets to fit ( you may need to break them) cheese sauce layer & repeat! Until all ingredients are used. Finishing with lasagna sheets and cheese sauce on top

6I did 4 layers

7Grate some cheese on the top and cover with tea towel

8Cooked on low for 4-5 hours

Absolutely delicious alternative to a mince lasagna, my entire family loved this recipe! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Courtney Shore, it is amazing!! I used 2 ×500gm Dolmio lasagna classic tomato jars (which I poached 1.5kg of chicken breasts in with the rest of the sauce ingredients)and 2 × 490gm Dolmio Bechamel sauces to make a 3 layered lasagna in my rectangular 7lt slow cooker. This is sooooo good and left overs are totally brilliant heated up in the microwave too ☺
