Chicken and veggie soup

  • 6 x Chicken drumsticks
  • 1x Can of chicken noodle soup ( or chicken noodle soup sachet)
  • 3x carrot
  • 3x potatoes
  • 1x swede
  • 1x sweet potato
  • 1x parsnip
  • 1x turnip
  • 4 celery sticks
  • 1x onion diced
  • 100g mckenzie soup mix (split peas)
  • 1 litre of chicken stock
  • 1 litre of water


  • Place drumsticks into SC
  • Grate in all vegetables (chop the celery)
  • Pour in the chicken noodle soup, chicken stock and water and put in your split peas.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours, then remove chicken off the drumsticks and cook for another 1 hour.
