Chicken and Sausage Braise with Mushrooms

  • Chicken drumsticks - 1 per person
  • Italian sausages - 1 per person
  • 600g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tblspn tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 2 tblspns cornflour
  • 200 grams grape tomatoes


  • Place drumsticks and sausages in slow cooker bowl alternating drumstick, sausage.
  • Sprinkle garlic, salt and oregano over meat, add mushrooms on top.
  • Combine stock, vinegar, tomato paste and cornflour in jug.
  • Pour into slow cooker bowl.
  • Cook for 5hrs on high (Contempo 5.5L sc)
  • Serve with pasta.
  • Cut tomatoes in half and scatter over top.
