Chicken Alfredo

  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • A dash of pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of thickened cream
  • Some fresh chives
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small head of broccoli
  • 1 small head of cauliflower
  • Also I ran out of Parmesan cheese so I've thrown a little tasty cheese in as well
  • Pasta of your choice to serve


  • Mix together all ingredients except cream (unless you are using cooking cream) and pasta.
  • Once the chicken and veg is cooked (3hrs on low) add the cream and pasta.
  • I cooked the pasta separate and added 15 minutes before serving.

  1. My family found this bland. It was lacking flavour. I added some chicken stock powder, garlic powder and paprika to help. All in all we were disappointed. It was so easy to prepare and cook though. Love the way you can throw it all in the slow cooker and leave it. Will just have to tweak this recipe more. Maybe cooking the chicken in a frying pan before putting in cooker may help. Thanks.
