Cherry Dessert Sauce

Ingredients
 

  • 900g fresh cherries, rinsed and pitted
  • 25g butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn flour

Instructions
 

  • Put all the ingredients into a 1.5L slow cooker.
  • Stir gently to mix.
  • Cook on High for 1 hour, then Low for 2 hours.
  • Keep on boiling until the sauce becomes thick and gooey.
  • Tip: No added water since cherries were rinsed and still wet.
  • Serve Cherry Sauce with desserts. A traditional Danish Christmas dessert is "Ris a la mande" or creamy rice pudding with slivered almonds, topped with cherry sauce.
