Cheesy Spaghetti and Meatballs
Serving: 4
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 500g mince
- 4 sausages skinned
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1 cup diced bacon
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Sauce
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp mint
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp garlic
- 400g can diced tinned tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3 anchovies
- 80g tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- Extra grated cheese to garnish
Instructions
- Combine all meatball ingredients together throughly and roll into balls about the size of your cupped hand and set aside
- Place all sauce ingredients into slow cooker and add in meatballs.
- Cook on high for 2 hours and low for 2-3.
- Skim off any excess fat with a spoon
Notes
- Could add in some hidden vegetables to fool those fussy eaters. Just dice finely and substitute for the breadcrumbs. Just need the mixture to be a little sticky at the end

This was crazy delicious. I didn’t have all the individual spices, so I used about a tbsp of italian herbs instead. Next time I’ll make double the sauce, so there is plenty for saucy spaghetti. It makes 4 generous servings. Thank you for sharing!
So yumm! Definitely needs the sauce to be doubled though and I will make the meat balls smaller next time 🙂
