  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 5 hrs
  • Yields: 6-8

1kg mince

800g tin tomatoes

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 large onion

2 bay leaves

170g tomato paste

500ml beef stock

salt and pepper to season

2 boxes lasange sheets

2 large cream

Pack of grated cheese

1Brown onions mince and garlic in a saucepan (can do the sauce in a slow cooker instead, I'd suggest to do it overnight) add tin tomatoes tomato paste stock bay leaves and salt and pepper bring to the boil and simmer until thickened (about 1/2-1 hour)

2Once your sauce is thickened then you can assemble your lasagna in your slow cooker

3Add a layer of sauce then pasta then pour some of your cream till pasta is covered about .5cm to 1cm thick

4Then add a decent helping of grated cheese over top add pasta and repeat the process until slow cooker is full, ending with cheese on top

5Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low

This is my go-to lasagne recipe. Superb flavour, easy to make and assemble. Full approval from Mr Fussy Pants, so has become a regular in our home.

Is that just normal cream?
