Cheesy chicken pasta bake

We loved this. Couldn’t even tell it was packed full of vegetables. Cook on high the whole time.

  1. This was so good! The whole family lovednit and asked formitmto be added to the family fav list! I made it to the recipe, but next time I will try a couple of modifications…
I will add some bacon, more spinach, and possibly a dash of cream at the end . There was probably a little too much pasta so I will reduce ithe pasta to 1/2-3/4 bag .
Will definitely be making this one again

  2. Absolutely delicious
I don’t eat salami so I used bacon instead and added capsicum
Possibly a little too much pasta so next time I’ll only use maybe 3/4 of a bag but this will definitely be going onto my ‘family favourites’ list

  3. Was a huge hit in our house tonight. Devoured by all.
I stirred through a small tub of sour cream at the end to make it more creamy.

  4. Sooo good. Doubled the jar of sauce and chicken breast. 1.5x stock. Added about 100mls sour cream for creaminess before adding cheese on top. So filling and full of flavour and a super simple way of getting your vege serves in!!!

  5. Made this for Mother’s Day dinner. Everybody loved it. No mushrooms in it for us but added a couple of chorizo sausages. Will make this again in the future

  6. Absolutely awesome!! Perfect winter food. Super easy.
Family loved it. I added bacon; capsicum & grated zucchini. Also added cream at the cheese stage. Definitely a winner!
    Thank you.

  7. Made this last night with a few modifications.
I used diced bacon instead of chorizo and omitted the spinach and mushrooms to suit my family’s taste. Used a full bag of spiral pasta and stirred through a few spoons of cream cheese in the final stage with some mozzarella cheese. Turned out quite nice and the kids even ate most of theirs

  8. Amazing! We made it with everything but the mushrooms and we absolutely loved it. Will definitely be making it again. Thank you

  9. Can it be cooked on low and if yes his long would you cook it for? Also what size cooker is best for this recipe?
    Thank you

  10. Made this tonight – used frozen vegetables and gluten free pasta – came out great and the kids approved. Will definately make again.
Cooked on low for a total of 4.5 hours (including pasta cooking time)

  11. We had this on Thursday night omg it was so good, I put an extra jar of sauce I had in the cupboard half way through as it didn’t seem saucy enough could possibly be because I didn’t add tomatoes or mushroom which would have provided more moisture, I also cooked it a bit longer at the pasta stage as it didn’t seem the pasta would cook in time. Next time I would probably use 3/4 bag of pasta or smaller shape, 10/10 for flavour and ease ??

  12. I cooked this on the Slow Cooker setting on my multi cooker. Because of that I couldn’t do the tea towel trick so just mixed the cheese through at the end and it was good to serve. Very tasty, no over powering tomato taste either. It was so good that hubby wants the leftovers for fathers day dinner.

  13. I’m in the UK so could I ask please, how many grams is a “packet” of pasta and what gram size is the jar? I’m assuming a jar of Tomato & Bacon pasta sauce would suffice?

    Thank you.

  14. Sooooo good!! Tasted like pizza ? I think I’m just not a big fan of slow cooked pasta though so I’ll probably cook it separate next time!

  15. Is it normal for the dish to look very watery pre the pasta stage ? Not sure if I should add cornflour or to wait till the pasta has been put in ?
    Thanks

  16. This was soo delicious and very easy and cheap
I made some slight modifications I added bacon instead of salami, I also added brown onion and a tablespoon of mince garlic and doubled the jar sauce ??
    Turned out so amazing
My husbands reaction was “this is bloody delicious “ ?
    Winner in our house ?

  18. WOW. Made this in my mini show cooker at work and it was amazing. So much flavour. Will definitely make again and again ??

Am trying this tomorrow night. All cut up ready to go, adding bacon and some garlic and I’ll double the sauce and sour cream or cream if it needs it at the end . Can’t wait to try it

Obsessed with this dish! So easy and quick – can be made straight after school pick up and it’s ready for dinner. I used slightly less pasta and added a small tub of sour cream at the same time as the cheese – delish! Our entire family, including the kids loved it!

Wow made this last night; I added bacon in place of the salami plus extra grated carrot. It was a big hit with the family! I served with a tossed salad and will definitely be making it again! Thanks for the recipe.

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!!
This was a huge hit in my family! Too easy and loved the amount it made too. I added mixed herbs, paprika and garlic and omitted the carrots. It was devoured and will definitely be a regular now. Thankyou for sharing!

    First time making this recipe.
I cooked on low for 3.5hr instead of 2hr high at beginning otherwise followed the recipe!
Plenty of leftovers – it was very filling and tasty ??

    Absolutely loved it.
I changed the sauce to Dolmio Carbonara sauce, replaced salami with bacon, no mushrooms or tomatoes, replaced with frozen vegetables.
Will use less pasta next time and I want to make it in my Westinghouse 2.5 litre the original recipe for hubby and me.
Will cook it again, thank you for sharing your recipe Nikita Watt ???

    Magnificent.
But as usual, I fiddled with it a little bit.
Stuck to the recipe, but spiced it up with roast chicken rub, and some paprika.
NOTE It pretty much fills my 3.5 liter model to almost overflowing. (i.e. lid wouldn’t fit after the pasta swelled and adding the cheese without smearing it all over the inside of the lid).

this recipe was amazing. I substituted the cherry tomato for red capsicum. Other than that i followed the recipe. Will make again. Thumbs up all around.
