cheese filled meatball parmigiana
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- For the meatballs:
- 1 kg mince
- A handful of chopped parsley ,oregano and basil
- 8 slices of salami sliced thin
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 6 slices of cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
- Mix together all the ingredients and tear of a small piece of cheese and put it into each meatball
- For the sauce:
- 1 x 800gm tin of heinz tomato soup
- 1 x 400gm tin of crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- I grated carrot
- 1 diced onion
- 4 rashes of diced bacon
Instructions
- Mix together all the ingredients and tear off a small piece of cheese and put it into each meatball
- Directions
- Fry off onion ,garlic , bacon and carrot and add to the s/c ,cook 1 meatball and taste if it needs more seasoning ,add all ingredients to s/c on high for 2 hours ,then add tea towel under the lid and cook on low for 2 hours
