1 hr 30 mins
1 hr 40 mins
2 sheets of puff pastry (marked out into quarters)
8 slices of shaved mild salami
8 cheese sticks (I used Kraft brand)
1 egg whisked
1Lay out each sheet of puff pastry on bench and cut into quarters using a sharp knife (no need to separate the quarters at this stage)
2On each quarter lay one slice of thin shaved salami and one cheese stick
3Place cheese stick at top of square and roll up the individual square with salami and cheese inside
4Pinch both ends of parcel closed tight
5Pierce twice along top of each parcel with fork
6Brush with egg yolk
7Place in slow cooker that has been lightly sprayed with non stick oil spray
8Cover with teatowel (Tea Towel Trick) and cook on HIGH for 1hr 15 minutes, then turn over and cook for final 15mins
9Enjoy hot, great party food - caution cheese filling will be hot!

Great for pre dinner snack or appetizer
These are awesome! I get asked to make them for every BBQ I go to. I added a little pizza sauce under the salami for a bit of extra flavour.
Loved these for pre Xmas lunch snacks. Really yummy
Made these Xmas day for pre Xmas lunch snacks whilst opening presents. So light & fluffy and really nice.

Sounds like your’s just needed longer Sharon – but I wouldn’t call it weak haha 🙂 I mean since they are meant to cook slow – maybe it’s STRONG! 😉

I was disappointed in these. I cooked them for 20 minutes more than stated and the pastry was still not cooked. I finished them in the oven which crisped them up. Maybe my SC is a bit weak 🤷♂️

I did mine in single layer Sarah. If you do try layers as you suggested please do let us know how that goes 🙂

Do you cook them in a single layer or can you cook more separating the layers with grease proof paper?

I am dying to try these! As a suggestion, a truly amazing combination is ham and Philly cheese.
