  • 2/3 cup cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 50g butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence


  • Put into 1.5l slow cooker on high with a tea towel under the lid for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes or so.
  • Serve over ice cream or sticky date pudding.
  • Recipe originally found at taste.com and amended for slow cooker.

  1. Absolutely awesome sauce, rave reviews from everyone. I won’t be getting bottle back from the uncle until it is empty, probably with instructions to refill and return it.
