Butterscotch Sauce

2/3 cup cream

3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)

50g butter

2 teaspoons vanilla essence


1Put into 1.5l slow cooker on high with a tea towel under the lid for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes or so.

2Serve over ice cream or sticky date pudding.

Absolutely awesome sauce, rave reviews from everyone. I won’t be getting bottle back from the uncle until it is empty, probably with instructions to refill and return it.
