  1. Thank you Paulene, it did taste just like my Mum made on the stovetop.
I added a little white pepper like she used to do and as my little slow cooker run hot I cooked for 1 hour on high then 45 minutes on low. It was fabulous

  2. Have made this twice now never been a big fan of cabbage but cooking it this way so yum! Has been added to my regular recipes.

  3. I can highly recommend this! Especially with some leek added in it too… And then the other week we even changed it up (made it extra naughty) by changing the butter and milk to garlic and herb cream cheese ? My waist hates me, but it tasted soooo good that my 5 kids all enjoyed it too ? xx

  4. I made this first time tonight and i only added salt and pepper to this recipe. wouldn’t change anything about it was very yummy and hubby gave it the tick of approval too!

was thinking if i added bacon to this it would be very similar to a dish my mum used to make when i was a child.

  5. I made this for the first time tonight with a little bit of salt and pepper and came out delish. wouldn’t change a thing! hubby even gave it the tick of approval!

  6. Made this during the week, as a side, along with mashed potato, to accompany Fresh Chicken and Veg rissoles. I only added some salt and white pepper – it was perfect!!

  7. My household didn’t enjoy this at all. My 10 year old has just started to enjoy cabbage boiled in water on the stove and then served with butter, however she would not eat this.
