Beetroot
Ingredients
- 1 kg Beetroot
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 500 ml Apple cyder vinegar
- 500 grams sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground cardamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 green apples
- 2 onions finely chopped
- juice of 1 fresh lemon
- 200grams raisins
- 2 tablespoons of cornflour at the end to thicken.
Instructions
- Peel and grate the beetroot
- Peel and finely chop apples and onions place all ingredients into the slow cooker except the cornflour.
- Cook on high for 4 hours mix cornflour with cold water into past mix through.
- Place in sterilized jars and seal should last for several months.
