Beef roll ups

Ingredients
 

  • 9 sandwich steak pieces
  • Spinach leaves
  • Tasty or brie cheese
  • Tin of tomatoes
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Teaspoon of crushed garlic
  • Tablespoon of tomato paste
  • Half a chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mix tin of tomatoes with garlic, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and chopped onion and put into slow cooker.
  • Lay each steak flat and put some spinach and cheese on top.
  • Roll up and tie with kitchen string or secure with toothpicks.
  • Place roll ups on top of sauce, season to taste and place a tea towel under the lid.
  • Cook for 4-6hrs on low
  • Serve with veggies and mash potato.

  1. The picture looks like chicken? I’m guessing that would work too ? Is Sandwich steak the same as minute steak?

  2. Couldn’t find Sandwich Steak at the Supermarket so I made it with Sizzle Steak – it was amazing. So tender and tasty and did not take long to prepare. Will definitely be on the menu again soon.

  4. Love these… also can be done with cooking off bacon & diced onion then once cooked add sliced spanish olives.. put the spinach on then the mix and roll…
