Shredded Beef and Black Bean – Easy Style 0 0 5 0

Ideal to serve over Hokkien Noodles but mash and vegetables are also nice

  • Yields: 4 serves


1.2kg Beef Roast (Bolar)

1 bottle of ready made Beef and black bean sauce

1 teaspoon Dried Garlic/fresh garlic

Hokkien noodles to serve


1Place beef into Slow cooker

2Pour sauce over meat

3Add a little water in jar and shake to get excess and pour over meat

4Sprinkle garlic on top

5Put lid on slow cooker

6Turn on low for about 8 hours

7Halfway through cooking just turn meat

8When finished shred meat and return to cooking sauces

9Serve over hokkien noodles with side of steamed veg

In addition to my original post, it appears I did use the wrong stuff. I’ll have to try it with something like Kan Tong sauce

Thought I’d try this, but the result was way too salty with a whole bottle of black bean sauce. I thought I’d used the wrong thing, when I noticed that the recipe called for Beef and Black Bean sauce, but I could find no such thing at the supermarket.
