Shredded Beef and Black Bean - Easy Style
Ideal to serve over Hokkien Noodles but mash and vegetables are also nice
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 1.2kg Beef Roast (Bolar)
- 1 bottle of ready made Beef and black bean sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dried Garlic/fresh garlic
- Hokkien noodles to serve
Instructions
- Place beef into Slow cooker
- Pour sauce over meat
- Add a little water in jar and shake to get excess and pour over meat
- Sprinkle garlic on top
- Put lid on slow cooker
- Turn on low for about 8 hours
- Halfway through cooking just turn meat
- When finished shred meat and return to cooking sauces
- Serve over hokkien noodles with side of steamed veg

Thought I’d try this, but the result was way too salty with a whole bottle of black bean sauce. I thought I’d used the wrong thing, when I noticed that the recipe called for Beef and Black Bean sauce, but I could find no such thing at the supermarket.
In addition to my original post, it appears I did use the wrong stuff. I’ll have to try it with something like Kan Tong sauce
