Bacon, cheese and potato bake
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 750g bag new potatoes, boiled until soft
- 8 rashers of bacon, cooked and cut in to small pieces
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 spring onion stalks, chopped in to rounds
- 1 bag of grated cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic granules
- 1/4 tsp onion granules
- Butter to dot
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Line the slow cooker with tin foil
- Cooked potatoes until soft and leave 2 cool enough to handle them and cut them in halves
- Cook bacon and leave 2 cool enough to handle and cut them in to bite size pieces
- Chop the onion and spring onion
- Place half of the potatoes, bacon and onions in the slow cooker
- Add half of the garlic granules and onion granules
- Add half the butter to dot and season with salt and pepper
- Repeat with the rest of the potatoes, bacon and onions
- Add the rest of the garlic granules and onion granules
- Add the rest of the butter to dot and season again with salt and pepper
- Cover the top with foil
- Cook on low for 4 hours 30 minutes - 5 hours
- At the end add the bag of grated cheese and cook on high for 30 minutes
