A beef version of our popular chicken and bacon parmi loaf!

500 grams of beef mince

2 tablespoons of garlic powder

2 tablespoons of oregano

2 tablespoons of parsley

2 tablespoons of basil

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 cup mozzarella cheese

1 jar pasta sauce (I used Dolmio)

10 pieces of shortcut bacon

2 eggs


1Combine spices, eggs, mince, breadcrumbs in a large bowl.

2Mould into a rectangular loaf shape and cut in half.

3Place 150 grams of mozzarella cheese in the middle of halves of loaf.

4Reshape loaf together and smooth all outside edges.

5Cover outside of loaf with bacon. I secured with toothpicks. Place on top of slow cooker. I lined mine with baking paper to avoid sticking.

6Sprinkle half of remaining cheese on top of loaf.

7Cover with jar of pasta sauce and remaining cheese.

8Cook on high for four hours.
